Trina Ledford

Madam Zorelda

Trina first joined The River City Players as the Toy Soldier in their 2019 Children’s Christmas production of A GIFT FOR SANTA. It was then when she found a love for Community Theater which inspired her to join the theatrical group and its board as its Vice President.  She appeared in the RCP Fall 2021 production of "The Odd Couple. Female Version" in the role of Mickey the Cop where she enjoyed shout at folks and slamming tables.  She also graced the stage of the 2021 Children's Christmas production as the King of Rock 'n Roll himself, (kinda) Elvis Pezley.  Her favorite roll to date has been in RCP's Spring 2022 production of "Academia Nuts", in which she played Tammy, a southern woman of questionable character.  Although, her current role is giving it a run for it's money.
Prior to this, Trina’s acting experience was limited. Although she did compete in finals of the 1996 Kansas State Forensics Championship in Improvised Duet Acting, she mostly grew up performing musically. She began singing on the stage at the age of five and playing trumpet at ten years of age. She went on to major in Music Education at Evangel University, but abandoned her dreams of becoming a band director with the birth of a special needs son in 2001.
She dedicated her life to raising her four children Dylan, Devin, Tessa and Tayler. When her oldest son Dylan passed away in 2019, Trina and her other three children moved from Blue Springs, MO to Lexington.
It was then that she decided to attend the Lex La-Ray Practical Nursing Program to pursue a medical career. She graduated at the top of her class in July 2021 and took an LPN position at the Missouri State School for the Severely Disabled.  She has continued her love for caring for this special population at her current position at The Higginsville Habilitation Center.
Trina’s pride and joy is her children. You’ll probably see her all over Lexington at their sporting events and musical performances, screaming as loud as she can. “GO MINUTEMEN!!!”
